I chose this picture because it perfectly represents Kali - a dog with a great temperament in any situation. She and I once traveled for three months across the U.S. where we encountered mountain goats, herds of buffalo, and wild donkeys to name a few. She patiently posed for pictures at Mount Rushmore, the Washington Monument, Niagara Falls, Las Vegas casinos, the Grand Canyon, Continental Divide, Yellowstone and many more. We camped on an island in North Carolina and by a lake in Minnesota and took cover in a furious lightening storm in the Appalachian mountains. She greeted everything with calm confidence. When she later earned her TT (American Temperament Test Award) with the Rottweiler Club (Kali was one of four non-Rotties entered out of 50 dogs), the club unanimously proclaimed that she was the only dog to pass with a perfect test.  They were right.

    Petite, the perfect companion and best mother. Pictured winning the Veterans class at the ECSCNC 1996 specialty at age 8. Also the winner of Winners Bitch and Award of Merit at the ECSCA 1991 National. She produced several Champions and is the Grand Dam and Great Grand Dam of many of our dogs today.

    Vicki was the champion of her family members' hearts. Her sweetness and affection blessed our lives immeasurably.
